2020 Tonic Grenache – McLaren Vale & Clare Valley: It’s the end of an era for the Tonic Clare Grenache, as we welcome some newcomers to the ring hailing from McLaren Vale. Skins for three-quarters of a month, pressed in older oak, unsulphured. Darker berries, crunchy, aromatic, Amaro-like. Ding ding!

2020 Tonic Shiraz – Barossa Valley: It’s a Shiraz that Glenn’s been dreaming of (literally). Fruit from the Great West Barossa, macerated for three weeks, pressed in stainless steel (groundbreaking). Fruity/savoury. Peat with red and blackberries. Is that vegemite we taste? Give it some air, already. Definitely not your Nanna’s Shiraz.

Reserve 2020 Tonic Grenache – McLaren Vale & Clare Valley: It's orange peel, crunchy dark berries and brown spices. The best of the best was kept aside for our Reserve 2020 Grenache, and this is evident here.

Reserve 2020 Tonic Shiraz – Barossa Valley: With just 25 dozen produced of each variety, patience has certainly been a virtue here. Some extra time in the shed (on less, unsulphured) has delivered the goods. Distinct umaminess finds its balance with blackberries, florals and a hint of coffee bean.
