We make five wines from different grapes, different vineyards and using some different winemaking techniques. We’re not dogmatic about any of it. We were able to get our hands on some tiny parcels of what we think is really good fruit. That was the starting point…and the rest just sort of followed on from that. It's all done pretty much by hand and foot. Well that...and benign neglect.
From the Clare Valley we take Grenache and Mataro and from the cooler climate Adelaide Hills come our Chardonnay and Nebbiolo. The Rose is a blend of Grenache and Mataro from Clare and is pale in colour and dry and delicious. Across the range we aim for wines that are bright, spicy and medium-bodied with little oak influence.
